They cannot (edit: I'm certain they can, but have not as yet) even put together an email list of their customers to notify them of updates.
#RENTMASTER BULK UPDATE UPDATE#
They will update the software often, very often in fact, which is great - BUT you'll very rarely be notified of any update. (edit: this is still one of the stupidest things I've ever seen in any software I've ever used, the only way it could be any worse is to not include any cost items) I'm not sure which business in their right mind includes tax (as a profit) in their calculations, but of course, Intellievent does! Don't you like to see that extra money there (sarcasm) again one of the stupidest things I've seen. He also mentions quick Gross Profit calcuations. (edit: this may be open to interpretation, so we'll make this a moot point)
Stating CRM is includes is a complete farce. No notes, no follow up flags, not much else that can be done with it. Once you dismiss the to do, it's gone forever. To them, it means to input a customers information, and then assign a task/to do. To me, this means CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT - unfortunately it doesn't mean that to Intellievent. (edit: they will fix it, just as they "fixed" the batch scanning issue above)
#RENTMASTER BULK UPDATE HOW TO#
They will then finally admit they don't know how to fix it. (Edit: My opinion only) Their technical support reps seem to know very little about computers/software altogether, and thus when issues arise, they suggest fixes that don't work, but will make you go out and do the leg work to "try" it. I can't say why they have a button to batch scan directly in IE when it doesn't work the way it seems to be intended, but if you don't mind the extra few steps you are able to batch scan outside of the program) 15 Years later they still haven't caught up. They are still operating on the basis of using this software in the mid 90's (or earlier) when com ports were popular and USB wasn't standard. You cannot, I repeat cannot, batch scan with your barcode scanner via USB. (edit: #'s are exaggerated but you get the point!) It seems they'll make 10 changes, 3 great, 3 ok, and 4 useless, but will also make 5 different unintended changes to the software. However they lack any programming skill (edit: they do not lack programming skill, they lack any quality assurance person/team) to ensure they don't alter an older version of the software. They seem to be making so much money, and continue to make many, many updates. Inconsistencies abound with this software. We've had to wait over a week (via email "support") to get any help at all
